- Nigeria battle Argentina in their last Group D clash at the Saint Petersburg Stadium on Tuesday evening

- The Super Eagles are currently second on the log and a win will propel them to the next round
- And Ighalo believes Gernot Rohr's men are are capable of ending the Argentine's dominance over them this time around

Changchun Yatai star Odion Ighalo has insisted that the Super Eagles have got what it takes to beat Argentina in their last group clash against Argentina at the Saint Petersburg Stadium on Tuesday, June 26.

Nigeria defeated Iceland 2-0 to rank second on the table with three points after two games, and they will hope to avoid defeat in order to progress to the next round of the championship.
The south American team on the other hand have got just one point so far in this tourney and they will need an outright win if they don't want crash out of the tourney at the early stages of Russia 2018.

"They are going to come all out and (use) every tactic that they know to win a game. "
This will be Nigeria's 5th World Cup meeting with the Argentines - with the three time African champions failing to get a win in all past matches.

While group leaders, Croatia are already through to the next round after beating both the Super Eagles and the 2014 finalists in their first two matches.

The former Watford striker emphatically admitted that: " I am expecting it to be a very tough game but I think we are capable of qualifying. "

Two superb goals from Ahmed Musa last weekend saw Gernot Rohr's men shock Iceland at the Volgograd Arena to get their campaign back on track, but will need to put up another stellar performance to go progress from their group.

Despite being benched in the Eagles last game, the forward says about the coach's decision to change his tactics.

"It makes it easier because I was isolated (against Croatia) - alone with four different guys - which was very difficult but we played with two strikers (against Iceland), which is much easier for the strikers to move, to come, and you can see that we got goals, " he explained.

He continued: " After the first game, Nigerians were disappointed. They were not happy and saying a lot of things about the team but now they are having the confidence back. "
"We (also) were not happy. We were a little bit angry because we knew we had to step our game and to do better.

"The mood is so high now in the dressing room because when you win games, everybody is happy. So we want to keep that until our next game. "

Having scored his second brace at the FIFA World Cup this year, Musa is Nigeria's top scorer in World Cup history with four goals.
He is also the third African player with the highest number of goals after Ghana's Asamoah Gyan, (six goals) and Cameroon's 1990 World Cup star Roger Milla (five goals).

Ighalo says Nigeria must step up their game to avoid crashing out at the early stages of the championship after Egypt and Morocco exited at the early stages of the competition.

"That is why we have to do better and step up our game, because two Africans are already out and a loss (against Iceland) would have pushed us out of the tournament, " he continued.
"We know Africans are back there supporting us and Senegal."

Wapforum.com.ng previously reported that Leicester City star Ahmed Musa scored twice to hand the Super Eagles their first victory in the 2018 FIFA World Cup encounter at the Volgograd Arena.
The 25-year-old grabbed his first of the goal after receiving a timely and superb pass and carefully controlled the ball and confidently powered the ball into the back of the net.
Musa cmpleted his brace in the game after mesmerizing the Iceland defence including the goalkeeper before making it 2-0 for Gernot Rohr's side.
