Caf Confederations Cup
(3.1k )
RS Berkane are gunning for their third win in their CAF Confederation Cup Group B campaign as they meet Egypt’s Al Masry on Sundaynight at Port Said Stadium.

Kick-off is at 9:00pm.

The Moroccans will be gunning for dominance in the North African derby on Sunday after their goalless draw at home.

Following their draw against Al Masry at home last week, they are under pressure to avoid a loss in Port Said as they have to maintain their unbeaten record.

Berkane are out to consolidate their spot at the summit, as they have seven points at the top from two wins over Al Hilal Omdurman and Uniao Desportiva Do Songo and a single draw so far against the Egyptians.

Although they failed to find the back of the net at home last week, they will be under pressure to score and collect a win to edge closer to the knockout stages.

Should they emerge as victors in Egypt, Berkane will have eight points whilst a victory for the visitors will see them to 10 on the log.

Also known as Nahdat Berkane, the Oranges’ coach Mounir Jaouani will challenge his troops to maintain their discipline and ensure they are victorious away.

The Moroccans are making their first entry into the tournament’s group stages and will want to make history this year.

Berkane will begin life without former star striker Ayoub El-Kaabi when they seek to cling to the top-spot by hosting Al-Marsy.

On the other hand, the hosts will also want to retain the full three points in front of their home crowds.

The Egyptian Premier League outfit are yet to lose in the group and will want to maintain their fine run on Sunday as they bank on their home ground advantage.

On the log standings, Masry sit second on the log table with five points from two draws and one win so far.

Coach Hossam Hassan’s men are fresh from their goalless draw away in Morocco and will be motivated.

They will be gunning for a victory after drawing against Omdurman and Berkane, but collecting maximum points over Desportiva.

Al Masry are yet to win any of the two continental club competitions, but will hope to go all the way and claim glory this year.

Hassan will challenge Ahmed Gomaa to remain hungry in front of goal and ensure they walk away as victors at home.
