Premier League champions Chelsea on Tuesday night, December 5 were forced to a 1-1 draw by Spanish club Atletico Madrid in their last Group stage game of the Champions League.
The draw however failed to help Atletico Madrid as they finished third in Group C behind leaders Roma and second placed Chelsea.
Chelsea started the match impressive knowing fully well that a victory will make them finish the Group as leaders, but met more determined Atletico Madrid side.

Atletico Madrid scored their first goal in the 56th minute through Niguel Saul who was assisted by former Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.
An own goal by Stefan Savic in the 75th minute saved Chelsea from an home defeat as the match ended 1-1 at Stamford Bridge.
